Vincentian Relief fund

Due to the health safety measures implemented to combat the spread of the COVID 19 virus, our country faces a daunting economic challenge. Our role as Vincentians has always been to respond to those in need quickly and compassionately. We will continue to help our friends in need with assistance for housing, utilities and food.

The need for Vincentian compassion  and care may never be greater. We will respond-but we need your help.

A gift to the Vincentian Relief Fund (VRF) will allow us to serve the increase in families financially impacted  by COVID 19.  Together, we can do more

Please keep our leaders,  our health care providers, our scientists, all those suffering from the virus and all our friends in need in your prayers.

Serve Those in Need From Your Home

You can make a difference from your own home. Consider joining Society of St Vincent de Paul. If you have a phone and a computer, you can serve those in need during this crisis while growing in spirituality yourself. Email us at or call us at 804-527-1037 and we can give you more information.

helping friends in need

As Vincentians, we grow spiritually by serving our friends in need. We treat those we serve with dignity as we would a friend.   When a Vincentian makes a home visit, they have been invited into someone's home. During the visit, the Vincentian listens to how we can help.  We support our friends with

  • Rent assistance
  • Utility assistance
  • Food assistance
  • Information and referral
  • Spiritual support
