SVDP–St. Michael Conference is deeply grateful to River City Givers for their generous $4,800 donation.
River City Givers, the Richmond chapter of 100 Women Who Care, supports local nonprofits that strengthen the greater Richmond community. Their gift will directly help our neighbors in need through emergency assistance, food support, and compassionate outreach.
Their generosity brings hope to those we serve. The River City Givers group is pictured with Thresa Felix, President of the SVDP.
Ozanam Orientation is planned for Saturday, May 2, 2026 for new members and those who need a refresher.

During this season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, consider supporting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
In the St. Michael's Commons, you'll find mite boxes which you can fill them with coins, bills, or checks throughout Lent.
Your generosity helps us provide direct assistance to individuals and families facing hardship. If it's more convenient, you can also make a donation on our website: https://svdp-rva.org/
Mite boxes can be returned by Palm Sunday, March 29th. Thank you!
Help us share love with families in need by donating new baby items and essential care supplies.

Heartfelt thanks to Filitalia Richmond Chapter and Joseph Elia, President, for sharing the joy of the season with Vincent’s Pantry at St. Michael Conference and the SVDP Westland Thrift Store.
During Filitalia's annual La Festa di Santa Lucia, on December 13, at La Vita e’ Bella Restaurant in Glen Allen, they collected Christmas candy and clothing donations that will brighten the holidays for our neighbors most in need.
Their generosity is a true reflection of the holiday spirit of giving!
Thanks to all the volunteers and everyone who purchased and donated toys so our neighbors can have a more joyous Christmas!
It was both a rewarding and fun event for everyone who participated!
During the past few months, the SVDP Richmond Council had 5 toy drives in our community, 33 registered families with 83 children, 2 shopping days, and 32 volunteers throughout the new program!

This past week, we gathered for our annual Friendsgiving dinner — a joyful evening of shared dishes, fellowship, and gratitude.
This tradition reflects our Vincentian mission: serving with humility, honoring one another’s gifts, and giving thanks for the blessings we share.
Thanks so much to everyone who attended the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul Walk at Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church!
We had a beautiful day and were truly blessed with 170 walkers, volunteers, parishioners, as well as donors and sponsors who participated in the event.
Our SVPD event was a success and raised over $45,000 to support our mission so we can further serve neighbors in our community.
As mentioned in the Richmond Biz Sense article, the grand opening of the SVDP Thrift store in the Westland Shopping Center on Parham Road is planned for October 4, 2025.
In addition to the Bon Air SVDP Thrift Store, this will be a great location for West Enders to bring future donated items in support of the SVDP mission.
Please share this exciting grand opening day with your friends, parishioners and neighbors!

ST MICHAEL DAY CHAPEL - 6:30 PM
Presented by: Deacon Andy Cirmo Spiritual Advisor & Formator for SVDP St Michael Conference and SVDP Richmond Council.
You’re invited for an evening of spiritual reflection inspired by Rerum Novarum, Pope Leo XIII’s landmark letter on Catholic social justice—revisited through the voice of Pope Leo XIV in preparation for the World Day of the Poor.

SVDP is hosting a Complimentary “Thank You” Breakfast for the St. Michaels Community in appreciation for the generous support of SVDP’s mission after all the morning masses.
Thanks for walking with us in faith and service.

Many thanks to Kelly Harris for her dedicated service as Vice President of SVDP! As a volunteer, Kelly has given her time, energy, and compassion to uplift those in need, making a lasting impact on our community. During our recent SVDP group meeting, Thresa Felix, President of SVDP St. Michael’s Conference, presented Kelly with a special gift of appreciation for her efforts. Though her role as VP may be concluding, she and husband, Drew, will remain active in the SVDP focusing on Case Visits.
